Apparently my second essay isn’t good enough for the every discerning eye of Dr. Laoye and vehemently implores me to speak to her about it. I like your concern and all, but I handed that paper in on April 8th, and you wait till now to grade it and say it’s not acceptable? Fuckin’ semester’s over, crazy. O_O
sitting here and trying to search my memory for all the occurrences where other kids teased and bullied me as a little boy. :O
This essay is effectively draining my life force.

I think, I think, I think, I may be slowly brewing up a way to present my World Lit paper in an original concept and exploit the quotes I have available to their greatest extent. This feels revolutionary. Rather than use a butt ton of quotes, use fewer and go on tirades with them as the block that serves as foundation for an entire paragraph. This chart should explain what I mean.
Past essays:
My exposition leading to tie in to quote. [quote]. Resolving sentence that explains quote in my original voice.
In this manner, I had to spend hours upon hours finding quotes from my sources, organizing them according to my prefabricated manner that represented my paragraphs, and then plugged them in. Not only is this time consuming, it only effectively provides me length for my essay so as long as provide tons of quotes.
Possible new essay:
Introductory sentence of paragraph leading to quote. [quote]. Sentence upon sentence building theoretical frame around that only quote. My sources, let’s say 3 books, are exploited in a way to give life to that single quote, giving meaning to every word it contains, padding it with armor.
What this accomplishes is that my entire paragraph is now entirely focused in one single subject, rather than a bunch of loosely strung arguments with quotes that have a partial relationship. This cuts down on quote use and allows me to put in more of my voice into the essay; and it effectively saves me time.
The down side would be that I have to be very familiar with all my sources. But, if you’re going to write an essay effectively, you must have read the damn books. Do no invest as much time in the supporting materials (theoretical essay, peer reviewed journals) because they will always have contradictory information to your ideas. Only use the quotes that are relevant to your thoughts and exploit them with your research and knowledge of the sources.
And never fear that that seems wrong, to use only partial information from an essay as the grounds for your argument, because guess what: those essayists and scholars do the exact same thing.

A good and noble father. This needs to be spread to stop this sort of vile behavior.
After 12 on-and-off hours my abstract and annotated bibliography is complete. Now, it’s time to get onto to tangible portions of my final projects. I am halfway done with my Master Degree now. Why did I decide to do this?
